FAQs

What kind of cannabinoids do we offer?

CBD: (short for Cannabidiol) is a naturally-derived compound from the cannabis plant. CBD is a part of a larger group of chemicals called cannabinoids. Unlike the psychoactive cannabinoid THC, CBD is not mind-altering and won’t get you high or sedated. Many people opt to use CBD to harness the effects of the cannabis plant without the intoxicating and dependence-producing effects of THC.

CBG: (Short for Cannabigerol) Commonly known as the mother of all cannabinoids, it is the first compound formed in the cannabis plant’s life cycle. As the plant matures, enzymes convert CBG into other cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, through a process known as biosynthesis. Similar to CBD, CBG is non-intoxicating and does not get you high like THC.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a complex cellular-level system that plays a key role in supporting a healthy body and mind. Proper regulation of the immune and nervous systems relies on the ECS to respond to environmental stressors and achieve a balanced state. Our body naturally produces signaling molecules called endocannabinoids (eCB) to mediate ECS functions, like managing inflammation or pain perception.

Luckily for us, the cannabis plant produces molecules, like CBD and CBG, that are similarly structured to eCBs. As a result, we can tap into the ECS through cannabinoids and influence our physical and mental health. This can be a double-edged sword: Some may feel relaxed right away, while others may not feel the effects as strongly. So, it’s important to remember our variability and capacity to respond to cannabinoids based on genetic and environmental factors.

Will CBD or CBG show up on my drug test?

CBD and CBG will not test positive on a drug test since most testing sites are not looking for CBD/CBG in your system. Instead, a drug test is likely to look for THC since that is the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana varieties of cannabis.

Some CBD and CBG products contain THC, so read labels carefully to ensure that the product you purchase has the amount of THC you feel comfortable consuming.

Reform Botanicals' hemp products are crafted from hemp extracts, which carry trace fractions of THC (e.g., 0.01%–0.05%) that can occasionally remain. While legally non-detectable or compliant under federal limits (0.3% THC), sensitive drug screenings can pick up cumulative trace amounts over time.

If you are seeking THC-free CBD (products that contain less than 0.3% THC), look for third-party tested products that offer certificates of analysis (COAs). COAs break down lab results and provide transparent ingredient compositions. You can find COAs for all of our products on our website.

It can be possible to test positive for THC after consuming other cannabinoid products for various reasons. Your body may metabolize cannabis in a way that produces a false positive for THC. Or, the product can be falsely advertised or mislabeled since cannabis is currently unregulated by the FDA. To avoid purchasing unwanted ingredients, look for COAs and third-party testing. We advise you to use discretion when using cannabis products.

How many gummies should I consume?

Everyone has their own ideal dose. Start with a single gummy, our recommended serving size, to tune our formula and ingredients to your desired effect. We intentionally designed a flower-shaped gummy for easy portioning. We recommend starting with one, or even cutting it in half, if you are unfamiliar with your personal tolerance. For most, it takes one gummy to take the edge off. Though tempting, go slow before consuming more.

Where does our hemp come from?

From seed to gummy, our flower is grown in the U.S., manufactured in a cGMP-certified facility, and audited by SQFI.

Is hemp safe and effective?

CBD and CBG are showing up all over the place because of the way it acts on our bodies and minds. Some claims can be a bit outlandish, like curing cancer, so be mindful of which claims are backed by science and which claims are misinformation.

Some common side effects of hemp include nausea, drowsiness, and dry mouth. However, everyone is different and hemp can affect each of us in different ways depending on metabolism, other medications you may be taking, and a variety of other factors. Therefore, it is important to be able to identify high-quality cannabis, to know what dosage is right for you, and to be aware of the potential side effects that you may come across.
